Asteriskos* Field Guide

The questions we ask shape the stories we tell.

Welcome

If you're here, we probably just spent some time together asking different kinds of questions. This guide isn't meant to give you answers. It's meant to help you keep noticing.

The Greek word asteriskos means "little star." It's where we get the word asterisk—that tiny mark reminding us there's always more to the story.

I believe people are like that, too.

Every person carries stories that don't fit neatly into labels, assumptions, or first impressions. The more curious we become, the more imaginable one another becomes.

Let's keep asking better questions.

“I’ve never been asked that before!” *

This is my all time favorite thing to hear.

The questions we ask shape the stories we tell. Questions are only as meaningful as the lives they transform. Curiosity demands that we let go of what we think we know, to make room for something new. My superpower is asking questions no one else thought to ask.
